Required Identification: Ribbons and Badges
For security reasons, all attendees must wear identifying ribbons on their person at all times. Please remind everyone traveling with your team in the mornings! Ribbons are distributed at registration. There are generic competitor ribbons for students and specific versions for high school Senators and Representatives in Congress. We’ll get you what you need! Coaches and judges receive badges with their names and choose their ribbons.
In addition to Coach and Judge ribbons, there are several other identifying and celebratory ribbons coaches can choose from at in-person registration, like First Time at Nationals, District Leader, and more! All other attendees, including parents, chaperones, siblings, and other observers, are required to wear an Attendee ribbon. Attendees can also choose optional pronoun buttons (students, attendees) or ribbons (adults) to affix to their clothing. Only official NSDA ribbons should be worn.

Judge Swap Window Opens Thursday!
You will be able to check your school’s judging assignments by day and event during the Judging Swap Window from Thursday, June 12 to Saturday, June 14 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) CT. There is no way to enter judge availability until the window opens. During the swap window, you may log in to Tabroom.com and check which judge(s) we have assigned to judge which day(s) of the National Tournament. You will have the ability to swap around judges who are qualified in that event to ensure all of the days your school is obligated to judge in an event are covered. We understand that it can be hard to manage judge schedules, and we hope that this process will allow you the flexibility to schedule judging on the days and in the buildings that work best for you and your team! We will notify you when the window opens. Learn more about judging requirements »
An expanded seating area for those with limited mobility will be available toward the front of the finals venue for main event finals and awards in the EMC Expo Center. Chairs in this area will be set apart rather than attached at the sides to create extra space for people who need accessibility accommodations.
