Message from the Kansas CASA Association, Inc. State Director |

A Season of Renewal and Hope
After enduring a long and bitter winter, we’ve finally had a taste of spring-like weather—a hint of the warmth and renewal that’s just around the corner. The cold isn’t gone yet, but the brief moments of sunshine remind us that brighter days are coming.
For children who have experienced abuse and neglect, their winter isn’t just a season—it’s a reality that can feel never-ending. The uncertainty, fear, and isolation they endure are much like the coldest months, making it hard to see the promise of something better. But just as spring slowly pushes winter away, CASA volunteers stand beside these children, bringing light, stability, and the assurance that they are not alone.
As we look forward to the full arrival of spring, let’s also look forward to the hope we can bring to children in need. Every child deserves the chance to feel safe, supported, and heard—and together, we can help make that happen.
From rural to urban communities, CASA is here to make a difference across the state of Kansas. Thank you for being part of this vital work.
Warmly,
Deena Gage
State Director, Kansas CASA Association, Inc.
