EC2 has been hearing all about the traditions of Passover and about the Passover story.  They learned that the Jews escaped Egypt by the miracle of the parting of Red Sea.  They each got to "cross the Red Sea" and had a Seder in their classroom.  It was a lot of fun getting ready for the holiday and demonstrating all that they have learned!
EC3, EC4, and Kindergarten all celebrated Passover together by having a multi-age Seder.  Each student got to taste the different foods that we eat during a Seder and enjoyed showing friends and family all that they have been learning in class.  It was wonderful to see kindergarten help lead parts of the Seder and students from each class learn together!
A game of Chinese jump rope involves moves similar to hopscotch. It builds stamina, agility, and balance. In this game for three or more players, jumpers complete a sequence of moves jumping over an elastic rope held by two other players.  Once the sequence is complete, the game gets more challenging by raising the rope to a higher level. 3rd-6th grade has been practicing during PE class.
