TB Tests and mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines

NCALA has received a number of questions regarding whether or not to perform the TB tests required for new resident admissions and onboarding of new personnel.

COVID-19 vaccination is an important tool to help stop the pandemic. As the US COVID-19 vaccination program continues, some may have questions about the interaction between new COVID-19 mRNA vaccines and tests used for tuberculosis (TB) infection.

The CDC has some specific recommendations for these scenarios. Please read the full guidance memo from CDC here.
