Donations Needed for First Tuesday's First Service Project! |
Did you know 1 in 7 people in our surrounding area do not have enough food to eat right now? First Tuesday is looking to help fight this! First Tuesday is a newly developed high school club whose focus is providing club members service opportunities throughout the community. The first focus for the year is collecting items for the Baton Rouge Food Bank.
Who can participate? First Tuesday is asking that the entire ULS community rally behind this service project and participate.
When? Tuesday, September 9th
Where? Members of First Tuesday will be at all carpool locations to help collect donated goods. Drop off your donations during morning carpool. Drive yourself? Bring your donations to the front entrance of the auditorium.
What to donate? Some ideas for donation include canned fruit and vegetables, flour, corn meal, rice, breakfast bars and cereal, dried beans, peanut butter, pasta, and any other nonperishable food items.
We look forward to coming together as a school community and working to help feed those in need!

If you arrive after the tardy bell at 7:45 am, please do not drop your child off because the doors will be locked and there will be no adult supervision. Please walk them to the front office to check in.
New decals should be delivered this week. Please make sure decals are adhered to the upper right section of your front window on the passenger side (or hanging from your rearview mirror).
If your child will be dismissing a different way from the regular dismissal routine, please send a handwritten note the morning of OR an email before 12 noon. We can’t guarantee teachers will be able to check their emails as much during the day because of teaching responsibilities. Without parent notification, teachers will dismiss children their normal routine.
