Called Interim Meeting is Tomorrow, Saturday, January 31st at 1:00pm |
On Saturday, January 31st at 1:00pm, BYM will gather for Meeting for Worship for the Conduct of Business during a Called Interim Meeting. The agenda for this Meeting for Business is brief but weighty: we will have a second reading for approval of the 2026 budget, and we will consider the proposal from the Camp Governance Working Group to take the next steps in evolving the governance of our $2 million camping program. This Meeting will be entirely online by Zoom, and there is no registration. Friends can simply join at the Zoom link at Sat, Jan 31st at 1pm. Advance documents and the Zoom Link are both available on the BYM Yearly Meeting Business webpage.

2025 Yearbook Now Available |
The 2025 Yearbook is now available. Paper copies will be mailed to all Monthly Meeting and select Committees in two weeks. Digital copies are available online (without the Directory). BYM's 2026 Annual Sessions will take place July 27 - August 2 at Hood College in Frederick, MD. In addition to our Yearly Meeting business, one of Annual Session's most popular features is Workshops! 2-hour workshop blocks take place that Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - and workshop proposals are now open!

Richmond Friends Talk on Israel/Palestine Postponed |
Due to inclement weather conditions, Richmond Friends Meeting is postponing Steve Chase's talk on discernment and action on Israel/Palestine this Sunday. It will be rescheduled for the first Sunday in April or May. Richmond Friends will announce the new date and provide a Zoom link for this hybrid presentation once it has been rescheduled. Come join the Quakers Healing Circle, April 17-19 at Powell House in Old Chatham, NY! This is an opportunity to make connections and join with a community of Quaker Healers from across the country as we share experiences, learn about our history and the modalities we practice in a deeply worshipful setting. If you are a seeker we welcome you! This is an opportunity to experience the deep spirituality of this practice; to feel the energy that moves through and among us and to open to that healing energy as it moves through you. Black Resistance to Quaker Enslavers, Feb 10 |
Join BYM Friend Jim Fussell (Langley Hill), Scholar in Residence at Pendle Hill, on Feb 10 at 7:00pm on Zoom. In a time when Philadelphia’s historical exhibits are being dismantled, this talk highlights how enslaved Black people in Pennsylvania challenged colonial-era Quaker enslavers through escape, arson, confrontation, and self-advocacy. Their actions, spanning 1725 to 1781, reshaped Quaker and Pennsylvania history from the ground up.

| Quaker Leadership Center: Rural Ministry Series |
Join the Quaker Leadership Center for their Rural Ministry Series, which starts on Feb 4th with a workshop about farm stress. In this interactive workshop, participants will be introduced to the urgent issue of farm stress in our communities. There will be time to reflect individually and together on the unique support that faith communities can offer farmers and farmworkers. We will also provide practical information and resources for faith communities.
