STEM Activity- Sand Volcano Experiment! |
|

Celebrate Earth Science Week with this sand volcano science experiment!
Materials needed:
1. Sand
2. A Sand Bucket or cup
3. Baking soda
4. Vinegar
5. Optional: food coloring.
Method:
1. Begin by placing a sand bucket in the sand right-side-up.
2. Then, pack sand up and around the bucket to form the shape of a volcano.
3. Turn the bucket of sand upside down onto a flat surface and lift the bucket to reveal the volcano structure.
4. Add 1-2 cups of baking soda to the top of the volcano, pour in the desired amount of vinegar, and then... you have a sand volcano!
