Nationals Newsletter
Nationals Newsletter
Saturday, June 17  | A publication of the National Speech & Debate Association
Dear Coach,
Tomorrow you begin the most exciting week of the speech and debate season—the National Tournament. Your students represent the top 3% in the nation, and they wouldn’t be here without YOU.
Throughout the week, we will send out an evening newsletter to preview the following day for you and your team at Nationals. The Tournament Book will serve as your ultimate guide for event details, and should always be your primary resource, but this newsletter is meant to provide extra guidance to help you plan the day ahead!
REMINDERS
Help Increase the Diversity of our Judging Pool! » Semifinal and final round judge panels at the National Tournament have not been reflective of the complete demographic speech and debate serves, nor of the breadth of thought and experience our community has to offer. Without a more diverse judge pool, it is difficult for the NSDA to produce more diverse semifinal and final round judge panels.
In order for these judge pools to live up to the values of inclusion and diversity, we need your help! If there are individuals associated with your school who are highly qualified to judge and who would enhance the diversity of our panels, please consider nominating them by filling out this form for the honor of being a part of the judge pool for the semifinal and final rounds.
