On the brink of goodbye: The power of remembering
If you knew you were weeks or days from passing away, what stories about your life would you share? For her Albert Schweitzer Fellowship project, TU speech-language pathology graduate student Cassie McGough helped Tulsa residents in hospice recount their lives and, in the process, gain a sense of peace.
Giving credit where credit is due
Just like TU, the International Baccalaureate program encourages high school students personally and academically. Chloe Shively (BS ‘20) came to Tulsa because she received 33 credit hours for her hard work as an IB student. “I realized TU valued the work I had put into my education.”
Ballot box menace
After the 2016 presidential election, hackers have attempted to break into voting and data systems across the United States. To prevent these alarming invasions, Ido Kilovaty, TU’s Frederic Dorwart and Zedalis Family Fund Assistant Professor of Law, proposes bold new lines of defense that apply human rights law and cybersecurity law to extraterritorial state-sponsored activities such as election-hacking.
