Last Call for the Digital Speech and Debate e-Championship!
|
|
|
Calling all novice or varsity competitors, there are national titles up for grabs in the Digital Speech and Debate e-Championship! This competition is a collaborative venture between the Tournament of Champions and National Speech & Debate Association to provide an accessible and cost effective e-championship opportunity for students in grades 9-12.
The online tournament will be held on May 3-5, 2024. The Digital Speech and Debate e-Championship is presented by the TOC and NSDA with support from the NAUDL, NCFL, NIETOC, and NFHS. Registration closes this Saturday, April 27.

In this new video, two-time national champion McKinley Paltzik explains the strategies and techniques behind her 2023 International Extemp speech answering the question, How should the world combat the rise of new infectious diseases due to climate change?
It's difficult for novice and intermediate students to see the gears turning behind the polished presentation in a national final round. This video joins one other video from McKinley and six other video breakdowns from two-time United States Extemp champion Jacqueline Wei that explain the strategies behind prepping and delivering a great Extemp speech.

Wear National Speech & Debate Association honor cords during your ceremony! Seniors in the NSDA’s Honor Society can order their cords now on our website. School policies for honor cords vary. Consider sending a letter to your principal if your school does not allow honor cords.
