New GME Meal Money & Food ordering App is here! |
The GET Mobile Food Pickup App: GET is a desktop and mobile phone app available to University of Utah Health employees to check GME Meal Money balances and order food online from the Main Hospital Cafeteria, NRH Summit Café, and SJ Tumbleweed Café. You can download the app by searching for “GET” in your device’s app store, by going to the Google Play store, the Apple App Store, by visiting the UUH GET website.

Medical Education Interest Group for Trainees |
Are you interested in medical education? Perhaps you enjoy teaching students and peers, or are considering a career in academic medicine. The Graduate Medical Education office is forming a Medical Education Interest Group for trainees (residents and fellows) due to the increasing interest in trainee-as-teacher activities. This will be a forum to support residents and fellows across the various training programs in finding local teaching opportunities, improving teaching skills, and exploring career opportunities in academic medicine. We are looking for group members and a leadership team.

The return of RETURN’s C2C Contest! |
GME’s RETURN program is excited to reintroduce and sponsor our Concept to Community (C2C) Contest for the upcoming 2024 Academic Year! C2C is a contest that aims to enable GME trainees to address the health needs of rural and underserved Utah communities. Guided by the community stakeholders and experienced faculty, inter-professional teams can submit proposals that address C2C contest goals and if chosen can win up to $5,000 to bring their projects to life.

5th Annual GME Wellness Elective Rotation |
The next GME Wellness Elective will take place November 27th - December 8th, 2023. This is a two-week course for residents and fellows across all specialties who are interested in learning more about self-care, resiliency, interdisciplinary collaboration, healing, and communication. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in didactic and experiential learning aimed at fostering a meaningful connection with patients and colleagues and decreasing burnout.

Educating healthcare professionals of tomorrow is one of the greatest joys in medicine. Join Dr. Kathleen Timme, an academic pediatric endocrinologist and educator as she interviews current and aspiring clinician-educators. Together, we will explore triumphs, struggles, and effective approaches in medical education. Check out interviews with many University of Utah faculty on topics such as virtual teaching, mentorship, and giving effective feedback.

2023 MedHub User Training Workshop Series |
MedHub offers training workshop series events several times a year for both beginner and advanced users. Both workshop series provide in-depth overview for program administrators, as well as offering attendees an opportunity to have their specific questions answered by MedHub Training & Development Team.
|
Program Letter of Agreement and Off-Site agreement process has moved to the Medhub PLA Management system. This new process will help streamline the PLA and Off-Site creation and approvals. Medhub will send automatic emails to all needed approvers for signature. All future PLAs & Off-site agreements should be processed within Medhub. PLA resources can be found on Medhub under Resources/Documents > GME Information for Programs > PLA/Off-Site/Addendum/Terms & Conditions.

Resources include GMEC request applications, FMLA/DLOA request forms, RQI, Recruiting/Interview, ResQ, Work Hours and more.
