Hawaii has one of the highest percentages of youths using vaping products in the country, which experts say could lead to serious health problems. Final Thought…
There are dozens of actively missing children cases in Hawai‘i. Some of those cases have gone cold and continue to haunt local law enforcement. People still ask, “What happened to Peter Boy Kema?” Others wonder, “Where is Jie Zhao Li?” You may recall in February 1988, 12-year Jie Zhao Li from Royal Elementary School was selling benefit chili tickets near Nu'uanu Avenue and Kuakini Street when she mysteriously vanished. There were tips, composite sketches, possible getaway vehicles, even sightings of the 4-foot-11, 75-pound girl, with short hair and slightly crooked teeth but Li was never found. On the next "What School You Went?" we’ll talk to the coordinator for the State Department of the Attorney General’s Missing Child Center-Hawai‘i, and hear why family-parent abductions are more common in Hawai‘i than stranger abductions.
