Innovate: evidence-based mental health research

Suicide Prevention

Anthony Jerant, M.D., a professor in the department of family and community medicine at UC Davis, brings a technology-based activation tool called, Men and Providers Preventing Suicide (MAPS) to the primary care setting  to help initiate conversation about mental health and to prevent suicide. Memory Enhancement through Stimulation 

Charan Ranganath, Ph.D., a professor in the department of psychology at UC Davis, studies electrical brain stimulation to better understand and treat memory and attention difficulties in people with mental illness. (PDF)

Mental Health Policy 

AB 1618 would establish the 'No Place Like Home' Program through $2 billion in bond funds from the Mental Health Services Act for the housing and treatment of mentally ill Californians who are homeless.
