Grow together at the 3rd Annual Sea to Soil Symposium The FoodLab at Stony Brook Southampton has an exciting lineup of activities on Friday, May 2, including a boat excursion into the bay, followed by a series of insightful talks from great speakers at the symposium, including keynote speaker Paul Greenberg - award-winning author and environmental journalist (Four Fish, The Climate Diet).
Annual Plant Sale Fundraiser for the Stony Brook Heights Rooftop Farm The plant sale to support Stony Brook’s rooftop farm will be held Wednesday, May 7, outside the SBUH cafeteria, Level 5. We are accepting and encouraging pre-order forms to be submitted before the event and by May 2. There are TWO pickup locations for all pre-orders. Directions for pickup will be sent about one week before the plant sale:
East Campus: 5/7/25 (9:30 am-1 pm) at the Stony Brook Heights Rooftop Farm (Health Sciences Center, Level 3-outside the Galleria)
West Campus: 5/7/25 (8:30-10:30 am) at the traffic circle in front of the Centers for Molecular Medicine (adjacent to Life Sciences Building)

| Senior Show & URECA Art Exhibition 2025 Stony Brook University presents its annual exhibition of works by senior art majors and minors and digital art minors. The Senior Show includes paintings, sculpture, ceramics, prints, photographs, digital media, mixed-media installations and works on paper by this year's graduating class. Reception for Senior Show and URECA Art Exhibition: Thursday, April 24, 4:30-6 pm.
Stony Brook Football Spring Showcase This Friday, April 25, Stony Brook Football will host the 2025 Spring Showcase at LaValle Stadium at 6 pm. The event will feature player skills challenges, a fan fest, giveaways and more! Admission is FREE for all fans! Stony Brook 3MT Winner Advances to 2025 NAGS 3MT Regional Competition, Friday, April 25| 3 pm to 5 pm | The Graduate School is excited to share that the winner of the 2025 Stony Brook University Three Minute Thesis competition, Sai Abasolo, has advanced to the final round of the 2025 NAGS 3MT Regional Competition. Abasolo’s winning presentation - “Growing Bones: Body Not Included” - explained her research in tissue engineering, which she described as “an exciting and crucial field for the future of medicine.” Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the virtual competition and support our representative. Sakura Matsuri: Cherry Blossom Festival The Wang Center will provide many exciting activities, including koto plays, Japanese traditional dances, martial arts demonstrations, bonsai workshops, calligraphy workshops, ikebana flower arrangements, tea workshops, manga drawing, origami paper folding, kimono dress-ups, and cosplay (costumed role-play of a Japanese manga character) for all ages.
