One Great Day of Giving - Wednesday, Dec. 11
Each year, University Lab School students, faculty, and staff give in a huge
way to help The Shepherd’s Market, a client-choice food pantry, feed 500+
families Christmas dinner.
This year at the 14th Annual Great Turkey Giveaway, in addition to a
turkey, fresh produce and homemade bread, families will also receive a
bag of non-perishables, which is where we come in.
All ULS students are invited to fill a bag with one of each item on the list
or donate any combination, and volunteers will assemble the bags. Bring
them to school on Wednesday, December 11!
Thank you for your generosity!
Cranberry sauce
Dressing/Stuffing mix
Evaporated milk
Cornbread mix
Cookie or cake mix
Canned yams/sweet potatoes
Gravy packets
One can each of green beans, corn, and peas or carrots

ATTENTION CURRENT 8th - 11th GRADERS
Cubs are Going Global!
Announcing our Spring Break Service-Learning Experience for 2026
UHS is excited to offer current 8th to 11th graders an international service-learning opportunity. Join us for a virtual meeting on Tuesday, December 10, at 6:30 p.m. to learn more about this educational opportunity, which includes hands-on service work in a local community, cultural immersion, and fun in the Dominican Republic in the spring of 2026.
This travel opportunity is a safe way for students to bring the classroom to life. They will be immersed in a different culture, experience global issues facing small communities, work alongside locals to improve their community, practice their Spanish language skills, and develop personally.
Please register for our virtual info session (link below) to be considered for this opportunity. In our session, we'll discuss everything from how this opportunity will benefit your child to what's included in the experience, how we'll keep the trip safe and affordable, and much more. If we haven't met yet, it's a good chance to learn more about me as an educator and group leader.
Participation in this session is required, and a parent or guardian must be present. If you cannot attend, select "No, but send info" to stay informed.
