Friday, August 14, 2020 | Fall Semester 2020

Can you believe classes begin on Monday?!

Like any other semester, make sure you have confirmed your course schedule and are clear on course expectations. We recommend that you connect with your professors for any questions about course arrangements. For Fall 2020 you will also need to select a Miami attendance option and complete InterLink e-forms related to your Fall 2020 study plans. See the Immigration Tip section below for more information.
Also, make sure you are up-to-date on information about the Fall 2020 semester for international students and the Healthy Together Plan
Have you submitted your InterLink e-forms?
Throughout the semester, wherever you may be studying from, ISSS is here to support Miami international students. For specific questions and issues related to maintaining legal status, including but not limited to full-time enrollment, work authorization, and other complex situations, please schedule an ISSS advising appointment. Appointments will be held via phone, Google Meet, or Zoom. For more general questions about how to make requests, where to find information, or who to connect with, send your questions to international@MiamiOH.edu

More answers to questions about Fall 2020 and other matters relevant to international students can be found during one of the live webinars that ISSS is pleased to offer next week. See the Upcoming section for more details.

Spotlight
TriHealth
Student Health Service (SHS)
This year Student Health Service (SHS) will be fully operated by TriHealth in order to deliver accessible and high quality health services to Miami students and employees.  To schedule your first appointment with Student Health Services, call the clinic at 529-3000, option #1. Please be aware of the following health-related updates.
  • Billing & Pharmacy - TriHealth bills your insurance provider and requires co-payments and payment for services to be paid upfront, similar to any physician's office. Starting this fall semester, SHS will no longer have direct Bursar billing as an option for payment, and prescription orders can be filled using one of the several local pharmacies. See the SHS webpage for more answers to frequently asked questions.
  • COVID-19 Testing and Treatment - Student Health Services (SHS), operated by TriHealth, is open and ready to assess COVID-19 risk and perform COVID-19 testing on site for those who are displaying symptoms associated with COVID-19 or are confirmed to have had close contact with others diagnosed with COVID-19.
