SCHOOL NOTES FROM MRS. WOODMAN
Dear Families and Friends,

Tomorrow we will experience the joy of welcoming our new bishop, Rev. J. Mark Spalding, as the 12th bishop of the Diocese of Nashville. The faculty has been working with the students to help them understand the role of the bishop, Friday’s ceremony, and the significance of this event. Each class has made a commitment of prayers to contribute toward a spiritual bouquet to send to the bishop expressing our love and support. On Friday, students will enjoy a cake reception after their recess before watching the broadcast of the installation and ordination until dismissal. Several of our teachers, parents, and students will represent the school at the ordination, including five of our middle school students who will attend with Mrs. Schwarz as part of the special children’s choir. Please keep Bishop-elect Spalding in your prayers as he begins his tenure as shepherd of our diocese.

The Catholic Schools Week festivities have brought many smiles this week. I wish to thank Mrs. Wasyliw, our CSW parent committee, and our Home and School officers who have worked many hours to plan and execute each day’s theme. We all appreciate the many parents who made contributions of time, materials, and edibles. The teachers have enjoyed their decorated faculty room filled with treats and send their thanks. I also wish to thank Fr. Andrew Forsythe for a beautiful liturgy on Tuesday followed by visits to each classroom for dialogue about vocations, and finally a peaceful parent retreat on Wednesday. We’ve kept Father busy this week!

Invitations have been sent for A Crown Affair on March 3. Please support your school’s programs by purchasing your tickets for this gala event today. We will all have a merry time together while raising funds to keep our tuition affordable.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Sherry Woodman
Principal
