Danfoss Celebrates Second Expansion in Tallahassee-Leon County with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
We're excited to announce that Danfoss unveiled their second expansion in Tallahassee-Leon County earlier this week. Over 100 attendees—including local leadership, descendants of Danfoss founder Mads Clausen, Danfoss executives, and Danfoss customers from across the globe—heard remarks from Danfoss President & CEO Kim Fausing and Ricardo Schneider, President & CEO of Danfoss Turbocor® leading up to a ribbon cutting ceremony on the plant floor, and a tour of the facility.
The $62 million, 145,000 square-foot manufacturing facility doubles Danfoss' current capacity with room to grow as demand for oil-free compressor technologies increases. The facility features state-of-the-art manufacturing for TTS/TG/TH lines for Danfoss Turbocor® compressors, increasing overall efficiency of the production process while improving employee safety. This expansion creates over 100 new jobs, opportunities for innovation, and shines a spotlight on Tallahassee-Leon County as a vital economic hub recognized around the world.
“This investment is not only a commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our customers but underscores the importance of local manufacturing,” said Ricardo Schneider, President & CEO of Danfoss Turbocor®. “As part of Danfoss’ green growth strategy, we are regionalizing our supply chains in order to manufacture products closer to our customers, improve service, and decarbonize our operations. Expanding our capacity in Tallahassee is key to our growth strategy in North America.”
