On Friday, May 9 the School of Theology held its 2025 commencement with 31 students graduating including: 16 MDiv graduates from 11 dioceses, 8 MA graduates in 2 concentrations, 1 Master of Sacred Theology graduates, 1 Doctor of Ministry graduate, 4 Diploma of Anglican Studies recipients, and 1 Certificate of Theological Studies recipient.

We are grateful to this class for achieving 100% giving to the Sewanee Fund by residential students during their time on the Mountain!

The seminary also awarded 5 honorary Doctor of Divinity degrees to bishops Brian Burgess, T'99 - Springfield; Deon Johnson - Missouri; Anne Jolly, T'13 - Ohio; Mark Van Koevering - Lexington; and Ruth Woodliff-Stanley - South Carolina.

As we say farewell to the class of 2025, we are preparing to welcome an exceptionally large incoming class of seminarians to the Mountain! Over the past few years our gown library has dwindled in size as some gowns have left the Mountain with graduates and others have become unwearable.
