Onward to victory!
U.S. Army veteran Benjamin Bozworth has been in the thick of military combat, lived homeless, succumbed to drug addiction and tried to cut short his own life. But that rough road is only part of his inspiring story. A year away from earning a BS in electrical engineering, Bozworth is president of the TU chapter of IEEE Eta Kappa Nu and just wrapped up a successful internship with Phillips 66.

She really is the champion
One hears about "student-athletes" on a regular basis, but certain members of that crew rise to the top. Meet Caitlin Klopfer (BA/BS '21): She came to TU as a walk-on athlete but left as a champion on the field and in the classroom. "I didn't want to be known for a singular thing in college," said Klopfer. "Studying French enriched my communication skills. Engineering classes gave me an analytical mindset. Track workouts made me tougher."

Prolific scholar Eduardo Faingold is an expert on language acquisition, bilingualism, linguistic law and immigration. In the wake of his recent book on language rights in the European Union, Faingold shared his thoughts on the intersection of language, power, law and politics.

Dare to discover
Last month, 15 students and three teachers from Will Rogers High School attended Discovery Day, a new event hosted by the Tulsa Undergraduate Research Challenge (TURC). Discovery Day enabled these visitors to meet with TURC participants, hear about current research projects, ask questions, explore ideas and discover their inner researcher.
