Summer Blog Series

This summer, the GPRP blog will feature pieces on various topics at the intersection of AI, gender, and public policy. The series will begin with an overview of what LLMs are and how they work followed by a discussion of the ways in which AI models are manipulable. Over the following weeks, the series will explore the impact of AI in a variety of different policy areas including employment, healthcare, policing, and more. Finally, the series will wrap up with an overview of possible policy responses to AI. This series will start in the next few weeks, we hope to see you there! Check out the GPRP blog here.

Gender & Policy Summer Writing Group

Will you be in town this summer? Need to get some writing or research done? Join our summer writing group!

Each session, we will set our writing goals and develop strategies for how to achieve them, have several hours of quiet writing time, then discuss our progress over a brown bag lunch. We will meet from 9am-1pm every other Friday from May to August. Feel free to join us when you are available, no commitment required. Senior Policy Analyst, Program on the ACA, Kaiser Family Foundation

KFF is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to develop and lead health care research projects to provide insights into how the U.S. health care system is doing in cost and quality. Working closely with their direct supervisor and the rest of the team, the Senior Policy Analyst will guide research projects from ideation to publication on the Health System Tracker, a joint project between KFF and the Peterson Center on Healthcare. 

Senior Manager for Maternal and Infant Health, National Partnership for Women & Families

The National Partnership is seeking a Senior Manager for Maternal and Infant Health to lead and support a broad range of equitable maternal health policy, advocacy and research projects with a special focus on addressing the maternal and infant health crises in Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC) communities. This work encompasses solving for health and health care inequities, adverse social drivers of health, and systemic racism, as well as improving the quality of clinical care.

Policy Analyst, City of New York Mayor’s Office of Equity & Racial Justice

The Policy Analyst will play a critical role in designing and supporting the policy agenda of MOERJ. They will be responsible for research and analysis of MOERJ’s policy priorities, as well as those of New York City Agencies across the spectrum. They will work collaboratively with teams across the agency, interact with policy experts inside and outside of government, and report to the Policy Director.

Fellowship Opportunities:

Ann Kolker Fellow - Health Equity and Contraceptive Access, National Women's Law Center

The National Women’s Law Center seeks a fellow or legal fellow focused on health equity and contraceptive access. This role will support the Center’s legal, litigation, and policy work on health equity and contraceptive access, with a focus on BIPOC, women with few financial resources, and women who face intersectional and other barriers to care. This role will be on the Center’s Reproductive Rights and Health team and is a full-time, one-year term-limited position, to begin in fall 2026.
