   FALL GRADUATION DEADLINES   
Undergraduate students planning to graduate in Fall 2023 must apply for their degree conferral by 11:59 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22. Graduate students’ last day to apply for Fall 2023 graduation is Friday, Sept. 29, by 11:59 p.m. No submissions from either group will be accepted after the deadlines.

Students may order their regalia online now through Nov. 2, or purchase regalia in person from Oct. 9 through Dec. 17 at the UNT Barnes & Noble bookstore. Doctoral students may rent their regalia online now through Oct. 27. Custom orders for doctoral degree recipients must be placed by Oct. 9 in order to arrive in time for fall commencement.    CAREER CENTER CELEBRATIONS   
UNT at Frisco is hosting a public dedication ceremony for the Satish and Yasmin Gupta Career Center from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 21, at Frisco Landing. The Guptas’ $3 million donation advances UNT at Frisco and student scholarships as the first endowed gift for the branch campus.
The Denton campus will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the Wilson Jones Career Center at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, in the Business Leadership Building Atrium. Guests can begin arriving at 1:45 p.m. The $5 million gift that Wilson Jones and his wife, Jane, made to the G. Brint Ryan College of Business is creating the space to support more career readiness opportunities for students. 
North Texas in D.C. interns
   NTDC INTERNSHIP   
Looking for experience working in governmental, nonprofit and private sector spaces? Consider interning in Washington, D.C., this spring. The Division of Student Affairs is accepting applications for the Spring 2024 North Texas in D.C. intern program. This opportunity gives students the ability to refine their career interests, gain a deeper understanding of American politics and further develop their leadership and professional skills. The program also helps cover living expenses in the D.C. area, including housing.

The Denton Police Department and business owners in the Fry Street area would like UNT student input about why they visit or avoid Fry Street. The survey does not collect student data but does ask you to indicate your classification and major to note your student status. The four-question survey is open to students through Friday, Sept. 29.
Make a Difference Day volunteers
   MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY   
Want to be part of something big? Then join UNT for The BIG Event’s Make a Difference Day. This National Day of Service will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, across various service locations. Join hundreds of students in helping the local community by registering to volunteer by Sunday, Sept. 24.

Meet campus and community partners from around the Denton and DFW area at the Center for Leadership and Service's annual VolUNTeer Fair. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, in the University Union Jade Ballroom 333. Learn about organizations and ways you can volunteer to make an impact in your community. The VolUNTeer Fair is open to all UNT students. Register now to attend.

Women’s volleyball continues its season, facing FAU at 5 p.m. today, Sept. 20, at the North Texas Volleyball Center. Women’s soccer competes against Rice at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 21, at the Track and Soccer Complex. After the win last Saturday, UNT football has a bye week and won’t play this weekend. 
So rest up, Mean Green, and get ready to face ACU at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at DATCU Stadium for Family Weekend. If you're missing the sports action this weekend, join UPC for outdoor games at Field Day from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, on the University Union South Lawn.

Grab your friends and head over to the CVAD Gallery and Art Building Courtyard from 7 to 9:30 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 21, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop. The event will feature the founding creative director for Def Jam Records, Cey Adams, and his exhibition, Cey Adams, Departure: 40 Years of Art and Design, which is at the gallery through Dec. 15.
