April Recap: Positive Sales for Week 1 and 2
Retail’s ongoing yo-yo sales trend continues as we move into April. Independent retailers reported same-store sales increases following the downturn in March. Compared to the previous year, Easter fell on April and sales were up 2.57 percent during the first week of and 1.89 percent for the second week.
We also saw increases in the foot traffic, with consumer counts up 4.12 percent for week one and 0.96 percent for week two.
