The Women of Holy Blossom in Toronto, Canada, shared with us their project, "Still Seeking Justice…. for Victims of Sexual Violence on October 7… and in Captivity." They held panel discussions and encouraged a writing campaign to Canadian government leaders to demand action. You can see all the details here.

Temple Har Zion Sisterhood in Thornhill, Canada, is a wonderful, cohesive group of women with artistic ability. Under the direction of Jill Seigal, a professional artist and member, we enjoyed a fun evening producing our own interpretation of an original by Jill.  The evening was also a wonderful social experience. 

The Deborah Sisterhood of Temple Anshe Sholom in Hamilton, Canada, enjoyed a High Tea and book exchange for members and friends.

Yvette Bergman, district president, and Suzy Gelman, district executive committee member, visited The Sisterhood of B’nai Israel Reform Temple in Oakdale, NY as representatives of our Speakers' Bureau. Your sisterhood or women’s group can have a speaker too. For more details, click here.

Event runs from 11am on March 15 to after lunch on March 16.

Bonus activities on Friday will include the opportunity to visit the Norman Rockwell Museum to see a special exhibit, Anita Kunz: Original Sisters Portraits of Tenacity and Courage, which features portraits of history-making women - some known and some lesser known. Plus, you can join us for dinner and Kabbalat Shabbat.

Join WRJ to lend a new spark to the biggest issues of our time. You will spend time with like-minded attendees equal in their dedication to advancing our Reform Jewish values through an important gendered lens. Scholarships are available now.

The Northeast District has begun having get togethers for sisterhood leaders in different areas of our large district. These events give area sisterhoods the chance to get together with other leader in their geographical area to meet and build community. At each of these events, representatives of our executive board have attended to help foster these connections. So far, several of these events have taken place. By making these meeting each other in person, it is easier to work on joint events and to see what has been successful for other groups.

This picture was taken at a get together/brunch in Westchester, NY. Special guests included our District President, our immediate past President, two area directors, and leaders local to the area.

at no cost to your sisterhood.

Make a gift to WRJ Northeast District Fund (NDF) to say thank you, happy birthday, mazel tov, or to send get well wishes or condolences to your family members and friends. An acknowledgment will be emailed to each person whose email address is provided.
The NDF enables the Northeast District to support our sisterhoods, women’s groups, and individual members.
