New Resources for Emeriti & Retirees
|
Check out the new section on the CUCRA website entitled “Resources”. Currently, the site contains Legacy Planning checklists and links to different series of webinars, including the new "Confident Retiree" webinars. These resources were developed by the Office of the President based on input they received from CUCRA (Council of UC Retirees Associations) and CUCEA (Council of UC Emeriti Associations).

The Charting The Journey to a Fulfilling Retirement webinar series offers a valuable opportunity to do just that. This national series frames retirement as a period of reinvention rather than withdrawal, and introduces fresh perspectives on purpose, identity, health, cognitive vitality, and engagement beyond full-time academic work. Instead of focusing narrowly on logistics or financial planning, it encourages faculty to think more broadly about what comes next—and invites institutions to think more intentionally about later-career pathways.
