Join us Monday, Aug. 18, for an exciting evening filled with energy, inspiration, and Maverick pride as we welcome new and returning students to UTA. This signature event features dynamic speakers, live entertainment, and an unforgettable atmosphere to set the tone for the year ahead.
Stick around after the event for the MavsMeet After party, the most anticipated Maverick Stampede event, taking place on the first day of school every fall semester.

Welcome to campus global Mavericks
|
The Global Maverick Welcome event is an opportunity for international students to meet current UTA students, student organizations, resource offices and learn about departments as part of the Maverick Stampede Welcome events. Connect with your fellow Mavericks Wednesday, Aug. 20, for free food and activities in the Rio Grande Ballroom.
Arlington Public Libraries and representatives from the Texas Department of Public Safety and Academic Health plans will be available to answer students' questions about the UT SHIP insurance plan and how to apply for a Texas Driver License and Identification Card.

Hip-hop icons hit Texas Hall
|
Legendary Houston rappers Bun B, Paul Wall, Z-Ro, and more will perform viral, chart-topping hits at Texas Fest Saturday, Aug. 16. There are a limited number of free tickets for UTA students, so act fast.
Get tickets now for the on-campus celebration of hip-hop history. Western attire is recommended.

Pitch Perfect welcome back
|
Gather your blankets and chairs and join EXCEL Campus Activities for a movie night before classes begin. Free popcorn will be provided for the screening of Pitch Perfect Saturday, Aug. 16, in Brazos Park.

Residence halls move-in event
|
UTA Apartment and Residence Life will host a move-in event on
Friday, Aug. 15, for all on-campus apartment communities.
Move-in for Arbor Oaks, Meadow Run, Timber Brook, University Village, and The Lofts will be located on the second floor of The Commons. Heights on Pecan check in will be located in the lobby of Heights on Pecan.

Mav ID office offering special hours, location
|
To help you beat the rush and long wait times at the start of the fall semester, the Mav ID Office will offer special weekend hours beginning Saturday, Aug. 16, and temporarily relocate to the UTA Bookstore during the first week of classes.
All Mav ID services, including new and replacement cards, will be available at the temporary location throughout the week.

Aug. 17 — Ready, Set, Register! Fall registration closes Sunday, so make sure you're signed up for your classes. Use MavPlanner to map out your schedule and MavScheduler to enroll easily through one platform. Login to MyUTA to get started.
- Aug. 18 — Ask Me Days is an annual UTA tradition designed to welcome new and returning students during the first two days of classes. Information stations are set up across campus for students to ask questions.

Aug. 18 — Greet your government is an opportunity to meet the Student Government Leadership Team and learn what they do for you.

Aug. 19 — Experience all that Campus Recreation has to offer at RecFest. There will be group exercise class demos, sports clubs information tables, outdoor games, tie-dying stations, and more.

Aug. 20 — Join one of UTA's most popular traditions at Waffleopolis. Meet your friends for an event filled with waffles, piled high with items of your choice.

Aug. 21 — Looking for a job? Stop at the UTA Fall 2025 Student Employment Job Fair. It is open to all students seeking on-campus positions, both work-study and non-work-study, and off-campus work-study positions.

Aug. 22 — The Honors College is hosting a Welcome Back party in Brazos Park for all new and returning Honors students.
