Winter Special at Catharina's Restaurant
Chef Archie Maclean has added spectacular new dishes to his winter special lunch menu. Warm up with a delectable seafood risotto or a sirloin steak with potato, spinach and butternut.

Cellar Door Specials for May
Our Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon Reserve Blend 2013 is on special this May at a 20% discount for R172 per bottle. With extended bottle age, this wine shows beautiful notes of citrus and lime blossom with a rich texture and long finish. 
For our  Wine Club Members, enjoy our Steenberg Catharina 2015 at a 20% discount for R204 per bottle. A harmonious blend of Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot, our Catharina displays notes of cedar wood and blackcurrant with a savoury palate.

Gourmet Wine Dinner at Catharina's Restaurant
Join Chef Archie Maclean on Thursday 11 May for a four course winter food and wine experience. Begin the evening with pan-fried seabass followed by a course of sous vide kingklip. Chef Archie's grilled impala loin is featured next on the menu with the dinner concluded with a lemon posset dessert.
The menu will be paired with wines from Kaapzicht Wine Estate and presented by Winemaker, Danie Steytler. Live music will be performed on the evening by Kai Connor.

Vintner's Breakfast Special
This winter, enjoy our Vintner's Breakfast Special with Steenberg Vineyards and Bistro 1682. Our special includes:
A breakfast of your choice at Bistro 1682 with a glass of Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc and a tea or coffee. Afterwards, enjoy a cellar tour and classic wine tasting in our Tasting Room.
The cost per person is R150 (gratuity not included, all extras for own account). The cellar tour is conducted at 11am only and the Classic wine tasting is to be redeemed on the same day as the breakfast. 
This special runs from 2 May 2017 - 31 July 2017 from Monday - Friday and excludes public holidays.

New Vintage: Steenberg Catharina 2015
Our new vintage of Steenberg Catharina is an exciting blend of 80% Merlot, 16% Syrah and 4% Petit Verdot. The wine comes from vines aged from 13 - 21 years and is matured in French oak barrels (72% new, 10% second fill, 10% third fill and 8% fourth fill) for 19 months. The wine shows heavenly notes of black cherry, black tea and dried violet with subtle spice on the palate. The body is finely structured with a fresh acidity and powdery tannins.
Visit our Tasting Room to taste this wine as part of our Flagship tasting. We are open Monday - Sunday from 10:00am - 6:00pm.
