Increased Same-Store Sales But Decreased Foot Traffic For 5th Week Of September
Six months since independent grocers experienced one of the most significant sales months due to the coronavirus, same-store sales have started to normalize.
Many restaurants have reopened to their usual schedules, and customers are slowly getting back to eating out as often as before the pandemic. This month, we saw an overall sales increase of 10.14%, while the last week shows an upsurge of almost 15% compared to last year.
Foot traffic came back negative once again, this month down by 10.39 percent, after five weeks below average.
