Taste of Luxembourg. LUAM. At OXford Farmers Market
Come to the Farmers Market Uptown and join Luxembourgish Students at Miami (LUAM) who, along with the Market Chef, will be demonstrating how to prepare Kniddelen and apple cake.  Samples of each food(with vegetarian options) will be available for attendees to try.
Don't miss this opportunity for students and Oxford community members to have a fun, safe and cultural experience of authentic Luxembourgish cuisine!

Topics covered will include who must file a US tax return, residency for tax purposes, FICA, amended returns, implications of misfiling, the stimulus check and much more. 
Important Dates for Spring 2021
  • April 19 - last day to withdraw from the University and all coursework
  • April 26 - open course registration for all students on the Oxford campus. Review how to register for courses and contact your academic advisor for questions about how to make academic progress. 
  • April 30 - last day to apply for December/January graduation
  • May 6 - last day of classes
  • May 15 - end of final examinations/semester
  • May 20 - grades are viewable
Immigration Tip
Planning to travel outside the U.S.?

Before traveling outside the U.S., students should consider and check for updates regarding:
Active F-1 or J-1 students must have a valid travel signature to re-enter the U.S. Review your SEVIS document (second page of I-20 or first page of DS-2019) to see if it has been signed for travel. A travel signature can be used for entry into the U.S. for one year from the day it was signed, provided that you have remain enrolled full-time at Miami, your document has not expired, and your major has not changed. To re-enter the U.S. in August 2021 a travel signature should be dated September 2020 or after.

Getting Around Campus, Oxford and Butler County!

Nicer weather brings more opportunities to get outside and go somewhere (while maintaining Covid-19 public health regulations)! Please review rules and recommendations for riding bicycles and other personal transportation devices.  
For transportation around Oxford, Hamilton, Middletown and Butler County check the bus schedule on the Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA) website.  Recently, BCTRA has also started offering BGo, curb-to-curb service similar to an Uber/Lyft trip within Butler County and a limited service area along the I-75/I-275 corridor in Hamilton and Warren Counties.   • Apply for the First Year Experience Undergraduate Associate Program. Serve as a peer mentor to new Miamians and assist an instructor with the planning and implementation of a first-year experience course.

  • Apply to work in the Armstrong Student Center. These positions oversee event production, manage daily operations of the building, serve as customer service contacts to Miami University visitors, run the Red Zone, and more. 

  • Submit a story for Where in the World is Miami.
