An article highlighting the importance of forensic evaluations in asylum cases, written by three long-standing SURVIVORS providers and supporters George F. Longstreth, M.D., Cheri Attix, Esq., and Julie Kuck, Ph.D., was recently published in The American Journal of Medicine.
The article, "Torture Survivors and Asylum: Legal, Medical, and Psychological Perspectives" provides a fantastic overview of torture and the asylum process, describes medical and psychological forensic evaluations, and discusses why these evaluations are essential for asylum seekers who have survived torture.
Thank you, George, Cheri, and Julie, for your tremendous support of SURVIVORS, our clients, and our mission! We are honored to work with you.
