Judge Paradigm Review and Guide
|
To start the year off, we ask all judges with a Tabroom.com judge paradigm to review and approve their paradigm by February 15. There is a notice on Tabroom.com for all judges with the details. We want to make sure you are aware of this request in case folks contact you with questions and hope you will help remind your judges to review and approve their paradigm.
Paradigms are meant to be living documents that are reviewed and updated as a person's experience changes. Right now, there are over 50,000 paradigms in Tabroom.com, many of which have not been reviewed in several years. Paradigms that have not been reviewed by February 15 will be removed until approval has occurred.
Additionally, we created a resource on how to write a judge paradigm for you to use and share with your school's judges.

One Month to Go! Nominate a Student for Leadership in the NSDA
|
The Student Leadership Council (SLC) provides feedback and recommendations throughout the year to ensure the NSDA is meeting students’ needs. This is a unique way to influence the organization’s future and an excellent addition to any student’s resume. If you know a student passionate about improving speech and debate, please tell them about this program and nominate them! High school member students who will graduate in 2025, 2026, or 2027 are eligible. Students currently serving on the council may be re-nominated to serve another year.
Coaches may submit nominations by February 15 through a standard online form, which sends a copy to both the national office and the district chair, if applicable. Each district has the opportunity to nominate one member student for consideration. District winners must be reported by the district chair by March 1. Each country or U.S. territory also has the opportunity to nominate one student. The final SLC will be selected in April.
