Simulating the real-life Air Force mission tactic known as “The Stack,” players can work together in different roles to tackle several missions and unlock new objectives and aircraft in the process. The game reflects the Air Force’s commitment to embracing future-forward technology, such as augmented reality, while entertaining and educating the next generation of airmen.

When you stretch a rubber band, it stores elastic potential energy: the energy stored inside a material when it is stretched, squished, bent, or twisted. This is different from gravitational potential energy, which is the energy stored in an object lifted up off the ground. Both types of potential energy can be converted to kinetic energy, the energy of motion. All moving objects have kinetic energy, and an object that is not moving has no kinetic energy.

What is it about the shape of a rotor on a wind turbine that makes it spin easily in the wind? Is it because of the aerodynamics of the rotor—its shape and curvature? In this science fair project, you will investigate the efficiency of the rotors of a turbine by making a small turbine model and several rotors, varying their shapes and curvatures. You will determine efficiency by measuring energy output using work. What are you waiting for? Let's put the wind to work!
