We've received over 100 items from our Birthday Wish List from generous donors, including new cookware for our homes, new rugs for our KFICCC classrooms, first aid kits for our vehicles, cooling towels for people to use when exercising, and crampons for staff to use when traversing winter ice and snow.

Transition Survey for Students with Disabilities
The Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council and The Parents' Place of Maryland developed a survey to learn from families about their experiences, concerns, and possible issues with Transition planning services. 
Anyone who has experienced transition planning services over the years or who has a family member who has  this experience, is encouraged to complete the survey. The deadline is Friday August 17. Click here to start the survey.

Governor Larry Hogan invites all Maryland volunteers to spend a fun-filled Sunday at the Maryland State Fair on August 26, 2018. One pass admits up to five people at a reduced price of $3.The Governor’s Volunteer Appreciation Day is presented by the Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism and the Maryland State Fair. Join the (Book) Club!
Our Next Chapter Book Club in Rockville is looking for young adults with developmental disabilities to join them on a reading adventure! The group meets at 3:30 pm on Sunday afternoons in North Bethesda. They read aloud and discuss books ranging from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.  Interested potential new members should contact Deborah Mark at DeborahM@arcmontmd.org.
