We encourage you to be an informed voter before the November 8th election.  How do you know if candidates support the arts? Our Arts Advocates Voter's Guide compiles all the responses to our Nebraska Legislature Candidate Survey so you can learn more about their stances on arts-related issues.     Important 2016 Election Dates
    October 3
    Early Voting ballots can start to be mailed
    October 10
    In-person Early Voting at the County Clerk or Election Commission office begins.
    October 28
    Last day Election Offices can receive requests for Early Voting ballots to be mailed to a specific address.
    November 7
    Last day for Early Voting in person at the County Clerk or Election Commissioner office.
    November 8
    General Election Day

    One of the important ways citizens in our state can help make arts policies and support a priority is by learning candidates' positions, and more importantly, voting on election day for those candidates who will support the arts.
    Make sure you are one of those voters. This is your very important opportunity to make a difference in the future of our state.
    One of Nebraskans for the Arts responsibilities as an advocacy organization is educating the public on candidate views and positions. Public policies are decided by elected officials, so voters should be informed of these views, particulary from the perspective of promoting good practice and policies in the arts.

    Please join us in congratulating the 2016 NebraskARTS Award winners - Kearney High School and Ravenna Public Schools - at a ceremony in the State Capitol Rotunda. The ceremony will be a memorable event, with art on display and performances by Kearney and Ravenna students before and during the event.
