We are having a "versus" week and whomever has the most participation, according to Judges Willmore, Starr and Odum, will get an extra player on the court during the game.

Teachers and students can pick one option on each day for dress up - see below. The winner will be announced on Friday afternoon.
Monday 2/11: Cats vs. dogs – Dress to meow or woof!
Tuesday 2/12: Heroes vs. villains - Dress to save the world or take it down!
Wednesday 2/13: Stripes vs. polka dots – Wear your favorite fun pattern!
Thursday 2/14: red vs. pink - Celebrate Valentine’s day with your favorite color of love!
Friday 2/15 : Old school vs. New school - Students dress like teachers and teachers dress like students!

Do Not Forget your students Valentines are needed on Thursday! 4th and 5th grade Valentine's Parties will be at 2:00 on 2/14. Parents don't forget to send your goodies.
Are you a Banker, Financial Advisor, or an avid stock marketing guro? Come share your talents with NPMM students. NPMM will be starting a stock market club this semester. We are looking for parents to volunteer to be advisors to the club. All you have to do is have a financial background or familiarity with the stock market and join us on a club day and help “invest” the virtual 100k. We are also looking for investor for this club who are willing to "invest" in our students success. Each student has an virtual online portfolio in which they have invested a virtual $100,000.  Volunteers would not have to make a speech or presentation or anything. Volunteers would simply come in and interact with the kids by giving them investment advice after viewing their portfolios, kind of like a real stockbrokers room. Please contact Matt Jorgensen JORGENSEN_M@HCDE.ORG for more information. Club dates: Feb 21, March 7th, March 28th, April 4, and April 18.
Band News: Concert Band 6-8: The concert band will perform February 16 at the Teachers vs. Students basketball game.  This is a required performance so please mark your calendars. Times and other details will be available soon. We would love to have parents join us to play!  Contact Mrs. McKee at  mckee_e@hcde.org. The band is also in need of dish towels to cover practice pads.  This will allow our percussionists to practice very quietly while other groups are playing.
