Becoming Oriented
As associate director of new student orientation, Justin Canny ’90 helps to select and train the 120 student leaders that help new students acclimate to life at Puget Sound each year. From meeting with professors to learn about the academic conversation on campus to participating in one of more than 40 immersive experiences throughout the region and engaging in experiential learning opportunities, students are holistically oriented to campus resources, Tacoma, and the Pacific Northwest.
