SNJDC hosted its 30th Annual Construction Forecast on June 5 at Stockton University, highlighting major development and infrastructure investments across South Jersey.
Presented by TD, the program featured a regional economic update and project presentations from Rowan University, the South Jersey Port Corporation, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, The Authority, Hopeworks, and Camden County. Topics included higher education, ports, housing, redevelopment, technology, and regional economic growth.
New Jersey Economic Development Authority CEO Evan Weiss delivered the keynote address, emphasizing infrastructure, public finance, redevelopment, and strategic investment as drivers of New Jersey’s long-term competitiveness.

SNJDC's Annual Health Care Leadership Forum
|
The Southern New Jersey Development Council convened its 2026 Health Care Leadership Forum on June 26, bringing together health care, business, government, and community leaders to discuss the major challenges facing hospitals and patients across South Jersey.
The hospital executive roundtable, moderated by Cathleen Bennett of the New Jersey Hospital Association, featured Amy Mansue of Inspira Health, Aaron Chang of Jefferson Health, and Dr. Jennifer Khelil of Virtua Health. The discussion addressed access, workforce, behavioral health, coverage, regulation, and emergency preparedness.
New Jersey Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Raynard E. Washington delivered the keynote on federal policy impacts, primary care, telehealth, rural health, community partnerships, and regulatory reform.

Deborah Heart and Lung Center will use $847,000 of federal funding to add new hemodynamics systems to its cardiac electrophysiology labs in an effort to further enhance care to cardiac patients.

The purchase of state-of-the-art CardioLab Hemodynamic Recording and Monitoring Systems to replace systems in its electrophysiology labs will enable Deborah clinicians to monitor and record patients’ vital signs and hemodynamic parameters (blood pressure, blood flow, and oxygen levels within the heart and circulatory system) during invasive cardiac procedures, while streamlining workflows and offering comprehensive data analyses and management within the labs. The systems also offer advanced visualization tools that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias.
