» Aldean Re-Boots: Jason Aldean will release his new album  Old Boots, New Dirt Oct. 7. "With this new album, it's definitely the same old me," Aldean says. "But, I like to mix things up and try new sounds and go into territory I've never explored before, so I do a little bit of that too. That's why I named the album 'Old Boots, New Dirt'…I'm almost 10 years into this crazy ride, but in a lot of ways, I feel like I'm just gettin' started."

Tuesday night (9/2) on buzzfeed.com , Aldean surprised his fans by streaming the entire album one time only, from 8-9pm ET. "For us, it's all about coming up with our own creative ways to get our stuff out there versus doing the same old thing," he explained. "This is something nobody's ever done, in any format, any genre — letting people hear the record before it's out. We spent a long time cutting this thing and I'm proud of it."

» Great Expectations: How did animal lover Carrie Underwood tell the world she's pregnant? By letting her dogs reveal the happy news on Twitter. Monday (9/1) Carrie tweeted this photo of Ace and Penny wearing shirts that said, "I'm going to be a big brother" and "big sister," respectively. "In honor of "Labor" Day...Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier!" said the mom-to-be. Hubby Mike Fisher tweeted , "We haven't picked names yet but it's looking like Fly is gonna fly," adding the hashtags "#boyorgirl" and "#flyfisher." Underwood's fellow stars tweeted their congrats, with well wishes coming from artists including her "Somethin' Bad" duet partner Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Jennifer Nettles, The Swon Brothers and her co-star from  The Sound Of Music, Audra McDonald.

» Winner Winner: There's no doubt about it - Luke Bryan is one of country's biggest stars. His recent sold-out, four-stadium-date run proves it. When the last note was played Sunday night (Aug. 31) at Chicago's Soldier Field, Bryan had performed for a combined total of 225,000 fans. He also set a record at Soldier Field as the best-selling country concert held in the venue. If you missed the concert, here are a few highlights:

  • Eight songs into his set, Bryan brought Lee Brice onstage and the two sang the Brice-written and Eli Young Band-recorded "Crazy Girl."
  • Cole Swindell and Bryan sang Florida Georgia Line's "This Is How We Roll," which Swindell and Bryan wrote with FGL.
  • Dierks Bentley and David Lee Murphy sang Murphy's hit "Dust On The Bottle" with Bryan, who proclaimed the 19-year-old song "one of the biggest songs in country music history."
  • The night ended with a song Bryan said he'd "been waiting all night to sing." "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)" got a roar not heard in Chicago since the Bears won the Super Bowl.

» Jam Session: Imagine walking in downtown Athens, Ga. last Friday (8/29) and seeing posters for a Kenny Chesney concert. You'd be forgiven for thinking it was a prank, since Chesney just performed his only 2014 concert at Flora-Bama, right? Wrong. Chesney's musical sneak attack at the Georgia Theatre was to help kick off CMT's new series  Instant Jam . Five hundred lucky fans got wristbands to see him do a 23-song set, which included hits, songs from his new album The Big Revival and even a couple of covers. Chesney even FaceTimed George Strait onstage while he and the crowd sang Strait's "Carried Away." If you weren't one of the 500, don't fret. Instant Jam: Kenny Chesney  premieres Sept. 27 at 10pm ET on CMT. More info  here .

» Taylor-Made Advice: Taylor Swift  has joined  The Voice  as an advisor. US Weekly reports she'll be giving contestants words of wisdom (like "Shake it off," perhaps?) across all four teams, much like Coldplay's Chris Martin did last season. Little Big Town  will advise Team Blake Shelton . Season 7 of  The Voice  premieres Sept. 22 at 8pm ET on  NBC-TV .

» Young Love: Canaan Smith has taken the words of his romantic new single "Love You Like That" to heart. He tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Christy Hardesty over the Labor Day Weekend. Last Saturday (8/30) he tweeted , "This is what it's all about. Never felt more alive than right now." The couple got married on the front steps of a venue called The Taylor Mansion in Columbus, OH. Smith says his new wife is fun and can outdrink most of his guy friends. "She holds the parking lot record at Ohio State for shot gunning beer, so she's a trooper," adds the proud groom.
