More Support Coming for Vancouver's Unsheltered
| |
| Last week, City Council voted to award a construction contract for our third Safe Stay Community, located at 415 W. 11th Street downtown. In the coming weeks, crews will begin grading, paving and preparing the site for an opening later this fall. Our Homelessness Response and Resources Team (HART) is working with nearby unsheltered residents to transition up to 40 people into the supportive community when construction is complete. Safe Stays are temporary housing communities offering 24/7 management, access to services, increased stability and safe living conditions to support transitioning out of homelessness.

Weigh in on Emergency Medical Services
| |
| How satisfied are you with Vancouver's ambulance services? We’re currently evaluating our emergency medical services (EMS) system in both the City of Vancouver and Clark County Emergency Medical Services District #2. EMS includes ambulance services and first-aid provided after an accident, emergency or sudden illness. Your response to a brief, anonymous survey will help ensure that we have a high-performing EMS system that meets the needs of all community members.
