Winter Workshops
Seeds from the hardy rubber tree
Whether you prefer pruning, planting, learning tree identification, or discovering the history of Portland's trees, there's something for everyone at Urban Forestry's workshops.

Winter is here and that means Urban Forestry's workshops are soon to follow.

It is a great time to plant new trees and to learn proper tree care, neighborhood tree history, and fun tree facts. With the new year comes changes to our workshop offerings, including our pruning programming. The pruning series will see more autonomy for experienced Tree Teams, with the ability to check out tools from the tool lending library, and to tag the young trees that you have seen in need of some pruning help. Details for our first two workshops can be found below. Keep an eye out in future editions of Tree Bark for more details on upcoming events. We look forward to seeing you soon!
