Regional Stay at Home Order for Southern California
On Saturday, Dec. 5, the California Department of Public Health announced that the Southern California Region, which includes Los Angeles County, will be under a Regional Stay at Home Order, effective Sunday, Dec. 6 at 11:59 p.m. This order is due to Southern California now having under 15% Intensive Care Unit availability in the region’s hospitals. The order will remain in effect for at least three weeks after issuance and, after that period, will be assessed on a weekly basis. The order will be lifted once the projected ICU capacity meets or exceeds 15%. The L.A. County health order has been modified to align with the new state order.
