Celebrate surf rock with a Saturday beach party featuring three of Arizona’s best surf bands: Shrimp Chaperone, Grave Danger, and The Boogienauts. Michael P will be kicking things off at 6 pm! Delicious fish tacos, ice cold beer, colorful beach balls, twangy surf rock… We may not have an ocean, but we’ll have all the fixings for a truly authentic beach surf party!

Led by docents from the UA Poetry Center. The event is free, and no preparation or knowledge of poetry is necessary. Everyone is welcome to attend as we read from favorite poets, learn about new poets and share our views. Each participant will receive a packet of the poems to be read and discussed, sourced from the Poetry Center’s world-renowned collection.
