HACKS & CHOPS Kenley Borgerson ’22 and Hugh Schmidt ’21 both wrote articles published in the latest issue of the UCLA Journal of Religion. Borgerson, a double major in religious studies and environmental policy and decision making, with a minor in science, technology, and society, wrote on “Wallada and Hafsa: Gender and Mobility Through Medieval Andalusian Poetry” (pg. 78). Schmidt’s piece (pg. 106) focused on “Religious Dimensions of Kurdish Environmentalism.” Schmidt majored in religious studies and minored in history.
