"One Falcon, One Family"

WHS featured in Team Northshore’s December 15 Northshore Nugget!

This year NSD introduced a new social segment called “Northshore Nugget”. WHS was featured in the December 15 edition that is published on Instagram, Facebook, and the District’s You Tube Channel. A "Northshore Nugget" is a piece of information, advice, encouragement, or maybe even a mantra that is concise but impactful, centered on the concept of belonging, and that can be shared with others. The information provides the greater Northshore community with a nugget of information and or inspiration that they can reflect on or use in their own lives. Thank you to ASB President Riley Hager and ASB for working with Mr. Criscione to create this final Northshore Nugget of the semester!

Theatre Tickets - Winter Musical: Urinetown
WHS Winter Musical: Urinetown,
 Feb 1-3 & 8-10, 7p

Woodinville High School Theatre Company presents the Tony award-winning musical Urinetown with music & lyrics by Mark Hollmann Book & Lyrics by Greg Kotis to the WHS Theater stage!

Inspired by the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire of the legal system, corporate capitalism, social class, and musical theatre itself. This show is inventive, clever, and silly, while also delivering thought-provoking messages about the consequences of societal decisions and the unintended outcomes when the little guy stands up against the powers that be.

Described as “hilariously funny and touchingly honest,” the musical is set in a Gotham-like city, where a terrible water shortage - caused by a 20-year drought - has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs - a premise that should be ridiculous, but has a spooky ring of truth to it. From amid the downtrodden citizens, a hero decides he's had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! See the press release for further details!

Performances are February 1-3 & 8-10, 7:00p at the Woodinville High School Theatre.

Lady Falcons Soar at First Two Gymnastics Meets

Last night, Thursday January 4th , our lady falcon gymnasts competed at Inglemoor against Bothell (4A), and Inglemoor (4A). Their strong performance last night complemented their inaugural season home meet that occurred before the holidays on Thurs December 14th against North Creek (4A).   Since Thanksgiving, the gymnasts, coached by Kathie Koch and Shannon Kelly, and captained by Lauren Kok, Sarah Ruana, and Ainsley Mann, has been practicing hard, refining their skills, and figuring out what routines to perform.  Not everyone was eligible to compete in December, but last night they were all on fire, operating at full potential and capacity. Together, Team Woodinville earned top spots in all four events as well as the all-around, at both meets.  Come witness the strength, grace, talent, power, skill, and beauty of these young athletes at the next meet of the season – Thursday January 11th 7pm at Skyline.
