A Message from President Bloomberg
May 6, 2022

Dear students,

As we come to the end of the academic year, I’m reflecting on the fact that we began this semester with a snow day (actually two), continued restrictions on campus and many of us feeling unsure of how the pandemic would impact us in 2022. Now, we are wrapping up the semester with beautiful spring blooms popping up across campus, daylight that extends into the evening hours, fewer COVID-related restrictions campuswide, a lot of festive end-of-year celebrations and the eager anticipation of commencement. I love this time of year!

I encourage you to reflect on your own experience of this academic year and look with well-deserved satisfaction on your accomplishments as a CSU student: You have navigated challenges, overcome obstacles, made new friends, focused on your studies and completed the semester one significant step closer to achieving your academic and career goals. Congratulations. Look back at what you have done and BE PROUD!

As you wrap up assignments and prepare for final exams, please remember to take care of yourself. You may be spending hours reviewing course materials or working in study groups, but don’t forget to make time to keep yourself healthy, hydrated and rested. Your wellbeing must be your top priority.

I wish you a successful Exam Week and extend to you my very best wishes for a wonderful summer.
Warm regards,
Laura Bloomberg, PhD
President
