Congratulations to Karissa Schweizer '14 who finished ninth in the women's 5,000-meter run at the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar. Her time of 14:45.18 makes her the fifth-fastest woman in American history in the 5,000-meter. Schweizer is a six-time NCAA champion and 10-time NCAA All-American who turned professional following a highly successful collegiate career at Mizzou. She currently runs for Nike with the Bowerman Track Club.

Maxwell Fenton '15 is in his first year attending King's College London as part of their world-renowned master's program in War Studies. He intends to specialize in the study of small wars and irregular warfare and how these subjects intersect with terrorism, organized crime, covert operations, counterinsurgency, genocide, arms trafficking and state failure. Upon completion of this program he plans to enter journalism, academia or the law.

The Stepperettes first performed at a Dowling basketball game in 1959. In the years following, they performed for many high school, college and professional football and basketball audiences throughout the U.S., including several appearances on national television. They won five national drill team championship titles between 1958-1977 and earned two National V.F.W. Championships.
