‘Top Docs’ looks at vaccinations & the need for strong physician/pharmacist relationships
The latest edition of the Medical Association of Georgia’s (MAG) ‘Top Docs’ show addresses the crucial need for patients to get vaccinated and why it’s imperative for physicians and pharmacists to work in collaborative ways to increase vaccination rates.
The program features Jeff Stone, M.D., MBA, MHA, FAAFP – the president of the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians and a full-time, board-certified family physician with WellStar Health Systems.

With a “penchant for evidenced based, outcome driven, and cost-effective medicine,” Dr. Stone is the chair of WellStar’s Antibiotic Stewardship Committee. He has served as the president of the Cobb County Medical Society, and he is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Community Medicine at the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon and the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Dr. Stone has been a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine for nearly 30 years. He has a degree from Bucknell University, a master’s degree in business and health and administration from Georgia State University, and a medical degree from the St. George’s University School of Medicine. It is also worth noting that Dr. Stone is a graduate of the MAG Foundation’s Georgia Physicians Leadership Academy.
Between downloads and live listeners, ‘Top Docs’ has now reached more than 900,000 listeners and viewers – which includes people in all 50 states and more than 80 countries. MAG has won two awards for the show, including an American Association of Medical Society Executives Profiles of Excellence Award and a Health Information Resource Center Digital Health Award.
