Free Judge Training Resources 

We've partnered with the NFHS to bring you Adjudicating Speech and Debate, a course designed to provide judging guidelines, identify the different types of speech and debate events, and give guidance on what to note during a performance. We encourage you to share this free course with judges you bring to tournaments to ensure students receive high quality, productive feedback. You can also promote the course at tournaments with our flyer

Are you working to build support for your program with your administration or trying to convince another school to start a team? Check out our advocacy resources! Peruse our collection of articles on the value of our activity and choose from more than a dozen letters in support of speech and debate from administrators across the country. 

Local Recognition for Speech and Debate Education 

Work with your local elected officials to pass a proclamation or resolution declaring March 1, 2019, as National Speech and Debate Education Day! We have all of the resources you need to do it, including an email template to contact your elected officials, a sample resolution, and a sample proclamation. Access the templates here and sign up to receive our full toolkit to make the most of the day!
