LLS Orchestra Presents "La Dolce Vita at Loyola"
The LLS Orchestra, led by Professor Simona Grossi (pictured), will host " La Dolce Vita at Loyola," a fundraising outdoor concert at 6 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 28 on the LLS Esplanade. LPI to Host Inaugural Volunteer Night!
The Loyola Project for the Innocent is hosting a community volunteer event on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 6-8 p.m. Join us to learn about the LPI's programs and assist attorneys with intake. Dinner will be provided, and this evening can go toward pro bono hours for LLS students. All friends, family members, and community members who are interested in the LPI's mission and would like to support the project are invited. All volunteers are encouraged to bring their own laptops. Loyola Project for the Innocent Hosts "Barred: Why the Innocent Can't Get Out of Prison?" Book Talk
Thousands of innocent people are behind bars in the United States. But proving their innocence and winning their release is nearly impossible.
The LPI will host Professor Daniel Medwed from Northeastern University School of Law to talk about his new book, "Barred: Why the Innocent Can't Get Out of Prison." The event will run 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 in Robinson Courtroom. Dessert will be served!

TechTainment 8.0 to Take on Metaverse, Esports & More!
Loyola Law School continues its partnership with the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association for the eighth installment of TechTainment™, which will take place from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 on LMU's Playa Vista campus. The first in-person TechTainment since 2019 will feature panels on blockchain and NFTs, the metaverse, esports, ethics in social media and much more. The panel Metaverse or Metaworse: Can the Application of Real-World Laws and Regulations Solve Virtual World Problems? will feature alumni Julie Shapiro, director of the law school's Entertainment & Media Law institute, and Tom Ara, partner, DLA Piper. Meta & Snap & TikTok, Oh My!: The Platform Leaders’ Perspectives on Cutting Edge Technologies of Today will be helmed by alumna and Adjunct Professor Tracey Freed. RSVP>>

Aetna In-Person Presentation Registration
Faculty and staff are invited to meet with an Aetna representative to learn about new plans and get your questions answered ahead of Open Enrollment deadlines. (Additional information is also being shared via LMU This Week). Aetna offers four presentations:
- Overview of Aetna Plans: Provides an overview of the Aetna HMO, the Managed Choice POS and the Managed Choice POS HDHP medical plans
- HMO Focused: A detailed review of the Aetna HMO
- POS Focused: A detailed review of the Managed Choice POS
- HDHP Focused: A detailed review of the Managed Choice POS HDHP
