Cara Post (c/o 2021) was the winner of the Hippard Novice Mock Trial Competition in February out of the entire 1L class at University of Houston Law School! She was also selected as Best Advocate! A Hippard Mock Trial team is composed of two UHLC students who prepare and argue the case for both sides, including opening statements, direct and cross examinations, and closing arguments. Each team must also recruit witnesses to provide live testimony. Competition rounds are judged by volunteers from the Houston legal community, who offer feedback at the end of rounds to help competitors improve their skills. Congratulations, Cara! We can't wait to see how God continues to grow and use you in your law career!
